User Licence Agreement

Effective September 26, 2026

This User Licence Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and Aeternum Corp ("Aeternum," "we"), and covers the licence you receive to use Kuchisabishii. It works alongside our Terms of Service — where the two overlap on the specific subject of the licence granted to you (as opposed to the licence you grant us in your content, which the Terms cover directly), this Agreement is the more specific document.

1. Ownership

Kuchisabishii — its design, source code, database structure, matching and recommendation systems, and the Kuchisabishii name and marks — is the sole property of Aeternum and its licensors. Using the Service does not give you any ownership interest in it.

2. The licence we grant you

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement and our Terms of Service, Aeternum grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use Kuchisabishii for your own personal, non-commercial purpose of discovering dishes and restaurants and rating your own food experiences.

You may not, and may not permit anyone else to:

  • copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service;
  • rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit access to the Service;
  • remove or obscure any proprietary notice on the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to hold this licence. We may suspend or revoke it, without liability to you, if you violate this Agreement or the Terms of Service.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the ratings, reviews, and other content you submit. The specific licence you grant Aeternum in that content — including how it may be shown to other users and used to improve our matching systems — is set out in the Terms of Service, section "Your ratings and content."

4. Fees

Kuchisabishii is currently free to use. If we introduce a paid tier for any part of the Service in the future, this Agreement will be updated first, and you will not be charged without clear notice and your consent.

5. Term and termination

This Agreement is effective from the moment you first use the Service and continues until terminated. You may terminate it at any time by deleting your account. We may terminate it if you violate this Agreement or the Terms of Service, or if we discontinue the Service, with notice where practical.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions of this Agreement that by their nature should survive termination — ownership, the licence you granted us in content that has become de-identified or aggregated, and dispute resolution — do survive.

6. Restaurant portal

Restaurant staff using the separate restaurant self-service portal receive an additional, narrower licence limited to managing their own claimed restaurant's listing, menu, and promotional campaigns — presented and accepted separately when signing in to that portal.

7. No warranty; limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." See the Terms of Service for the full disclaimer and limitation of liability that apply to this licence as well.

8. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta.
