Find the dish,
not the restaurant.

Most food apps rank restaurants. We rank plates — and match them to you using people whose taste actually resembles yours. Because craving is the new best seasoning.

Kuchisabishii (口寂しい) — the feeling of wanting to eat not because you're hungry, but because your mouth is lonely.

It's ok to eat because your mouth is lonely. It's ok to love eating. We built an entire app around a feeling most food apps pretend doesn't exist.

Our mission

Food is how we connect. Eating well shouldn't come with guilt.

We think eating is social interaction, connection, community engagement, and personal joy — not just fuel. Eat when you like. Eat what you crave. It's ok to love eating.

Kuchisabishii exists to help connect people through the things they love. Food is just a start, and we think it's an important one — because a shared meal, a dish someone insisted you try, a plate that turned out to be exactly your kind of good, is one of the oldest ways people find each other.

We also want to help people be adventurous with food, while being honest about just how adventurous they're actually being. No guessing, no vague stars — a real read on your own palate, so trying something new is a choice you're making with open eyes, not a gamble.

How it's different

A great restaurant with one mediocre plate isn't a good recommendation.

Dishes, not venues

We tell you what to order, not just where to go. A restaurant's average rating tells you nothing about the one dish they're actually great at.

Matched to your palate

We learn what you like in context — you might love vinegar in dumplings and hate it in soup. Most systems flatten that down to a star rating.

People who eat like you

Once enough of your taste twins have rated a dish, that signal beats any algorithm's guess about ingredients.

Honest about confidence

We never fake a match. If we don't know your taste well enough yet, we say so — and tell you how to fix it.

Takes about a minute

What's your Kuchi profile?

Rate a handful of real dishes. No account, no email — just a genuine read on your palate, and the dishes near you that actually match it.

For restaurants

A fair shot for good kitchens.

A restaurant can cook beautifully and still carry an unlucky star rating from one bad night. We give local restaurants a chance to show the world their best dishes — to cut through the noise of a coincidental bad review and let their one or two standout plates speak for themselves.
