Terms of Service
Effective September 26, 2026
Kuchisabishii is a product of Aeternum Corp ("Aeternum," "we," "us"). These Terms govern your use of the Kuchisabishii website (including the taste-profile quiz), mobile and web application, and related services (collectively, the "Service") — a food discovery app that recommends individual dishes based on your taste. By taking the quiz, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Who can use Kuchisabishii
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or take the taste-profile quiz. Kuchisabishii currently operates in Edmonton, Alberta only — we'll let you know when that changes, and the Service tells you plainly if your city isn't covered yet.
Cost
Kuchisabishii is currently free to use. If that changes for any part of the Service, we will say so clearly and give you notice before any charge applies to your account.
Your account
You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials to yourself. Tell us at info@kuchisabishii.io if you think someone else has access to your account.
If you take the taste-profile quiz before creating an account, we hold a temporary, anonymous session so you don't have to redo the cards if you decide to sign up. Nothing about that session identifies you until you choose to create a password.
Dish and allergen information is not verified — read this before relying on it
Dish descriptions, ingredients, and allergen information on Kuchisabishii come from our own research, from restaurants, or from other users, and none of it is independently verified by us. Where we lack complete ingredient information for a dish and you've told us about an allergy, we mark it "Unverified" — but the absence of that flag is not a guarantee the dish is safe for you. Always confirm allergen and ingredient details directly with the restaurant before ordering, especially if you have a serious or life-threatening allergy. Kuchisabishii is a discovery tool, not a safety verification service, and we are not responsible for reactions, illness, or injury arising from relying on information in the Service instead of confirming with the restaurant.
Your ratings and content
When you rate a dish, that rating (and any public review text you choose to add) is visible to other users and attributed to your account — this is how the Service shows people dishes that others with similar taste enjoyed. Private notes you write to yourself are never published and are visible only to you.
By posting a rating or review, you grant Kuchisabishii a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and use that content within the Service and in connection with operating, providing, and improving it — including using ratings, in aggregate or de-identified form, to train and improve our matching and recommendation systems. You keep ownership of what you write. You're responsible for making sure what you post doesn't infringe someone else's rights or violate the law.
See the User Licence Agreement for the licence we grant you in the other direction — to use the Service itself.
What you agree not to do
Don't use Kuchisabishii to post false, defamatory, or misleading information about a dish or restaurant; don't attempt to manipulate ratings or reviews, including your own account or ones you control; don't scrape, bulk-extract, or attempt to reconstruct our catalogue or user data; don't attempt to access another user's account or private data; and don't use the Service for anything unlawful.
Restaurants and menu information
Restaurant listings, menus, and prices are provided for discovery purposes and may not reflect current availability, pricing, or offerings. Confirm directly with the restaurant before visiting or ordering. Restaurant staff using the separate restaurant portal are additionally bound by the terms presented there.
No warranty
Kuchisabishii is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that recommendations will match your taste, that dish or restaurant information is accurate or current, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aeternum is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to allergic reactions or other harm resulting from relying on unverified dish or allergen information instead of confirming with the restaurant. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable Alberta or Canadian law.
Account termination
You can delete your account at any time in the app, which removes your profile, ratings, private notes, and other personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms.
Changes to these Terms
If we make a material change, you'll be asked to review and accept the new version before continuing to use the Service. Your acceptance is recorded against the specific version of the Terms you were shown.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
